How to read the comparison / 點睇個對照
Every row carries one of three labels. Each label is defined once here, then used as a short token in the tables so rows stay narrow and scannable.
每一行都有以下三個標籤之一。標籤喺呢度定義一次，之後表格入面淨係用個短碼，等每 行都夠窄、夠易掃。

The Cheap LFS lifecycle / Cheap LFS 嘅一生
What the lifecycle diagram says. Each repository picks one backing store — a published GitHub prerelease, a GHCR image, or a Docker Hub image. A changed file over the 100 MiB threshold is prepared at commit time (or pinned by hand from the Large files manager): if its working-tree bytes are proven identical to the pointer the commit already holds, it is neither re-uploaded nor committed and a notice names it; otherwise it is hashed, uploaded, verified, and replaced in the working tree by five lines of pointer text. Git only ever commits and pushes that pointer. On the machine that did the upload the verified copy is reinstalled straight over the pointer, so nothing is re-downloaded seconds after being uploaded. Any other clone receives the pointer first, and the default-on clone/open detector — or Materialize all — downloads, verifies, and atomically restores the original bytes while the committed blob stays a pointer, so the next clone can repeat the same verified restore.
